Replacing Thermal Pads for MSI Ventus 3080Ti

Out of the box, this card was getting core temps 70C+ and mem temps of 100C+.

Through trial and error, I eventually got core temps to the low 50s and mem temps to the 70s.

Materials Used

• Gelid Ultimate 3mm
• Gelid Ultimate 2mm
• Arctic MX-5 Thermal Paste
• Screwdriver

Note of Caution

There are two cables on one side that were extremely difficult to unplug, so I opened the card very slowly to avoid damage.

Most Successful Pad Configuration

The best configuration seemed to be Gelid Ultimates for everything. I also tried adding thin lines of thermal paste onto pads, which gave a small reduction.
